The Brief

Coldtech Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, based in Middlesbrough and serving the North East and Yorkshire, are specialists in commercial and domestic refrigeration and air conditioning solutions. When we first discovered Coldtech, their website suffered from multiple broken links and lacked SSL security, creating a poor user experience and undermining trust.

Our remit was to deliver a complete redesign—modernising the site, improving reliability, and introducing a new ecommerce function to showcase and sell their range of refrigeration and freezer units, all while reflecting Coldtech’s reputation for expertise and quality service in the industry.

The Approach

The decision was made to rebuild the Coldtech website on the WordPress platform, ensuring a robust foundation for both security and scalability. After a detailed review of local and national competitors, we mapped out a new UI and UX that prioritised seamless navigation and clear calls to action. Coldtech’s strong reputation and decades of experience were front and centre in the new design, supported by refreshed branding and professional imagery.

To meet the brief, we integrated a user-friendly ecommerce system for refrigeration and freezer units, and ensured the site was fully secured with SSL. The final result delivers a modern, mobile-optimised website with ecommerce functionality, improved SEO, and a much stronger user experience.
