The Challenge
VPH needed a website that did more than “look the part”. It had to work as a genuine business tool — building trust quickly, supporting recruitment, and driving consistent enquiries.
From our side, this project needed to align with how we build websites at Canny Commerce: a strong WordPress web design foundation, clear user journeys, and a site that’s easy to manage long-term (with options for website hosting and website maintenance).
Key requirements included:
Clearly explain their core services (plant hire, earthmoving, excavator-mounted attachments) with a structure that supports long-term SEO
Encourage more enquiries from contractors and commercial clients across the North East
Support recruitment with a dedicated careers section
Promote additional revenue streams like used machinery sales
